Outing

Yesterday's lan gaming had its aftermath effect upon me today. Felt headache yest after the game. Worsened after the X-men 3 movie. And with insufficient sleep today, i am having a tired and dizzy day thruout. Sleep almost 3/4 of the total duration of the lectures. Maybe more than that.. dozed off unknowningly. Dismissed at 2 plus. But dun wan to go home as i was meeting Mickeys and Donalds at 6, so stayed in sch to rest.. wan to sleep, but end up playing online games in sch. so fun!!

Travelled to city hall to meet them. I was v early, reached there at 545pm. Slept a while at the platform's bench before meeting the rest. Most of them r a little bit late. But nevertheless, almost all reached there before 630 and we proceeded to Billy Bombers for dinner. Was first time there... the food there is quite nice, esp the fries and the Ben n Jerry ice cream!
and had very fun time over there.. haha.. Heng Swee is bombarded by many of the girls.. I was concentrating v hard on my half spring chicken. Cos v difficult to eat it with fork and knife alone. Wanted to use hands.. but still manage to clear it without using hand. And i was playing ard with the bones trying to find more meat haha.. when think WanWei cannot tahan my me.. she asked the waiter to clear my plate when the waiter is asking her for permission to clear hers. That was quite shocking.. ahha.. so embarrassing for me... Hahaha.. everyone was laughing heartily over this..and after which we took a lot of pics at the Esplanade and at the Merlion.. lolz, posted some pics.

After which, we intended to hit for home.. since it was near 10pm. Though short, but was nice. =)

Sun~Mon

Yesterday was a rather slack abt day. Played comp games till evening then went out to walk ard before meeting Andy n HL at TM at ard 9 + to chat. Whao.. saw so many familiar faces.. of them onli talked to KarHeng, Mantou and CG.. and HL, CG and me arranged to play LAN at WB's hse today!

Got out of hse late.. and rushed to buy mouse for CG and hp cover for papa, so was late today. Met up with HL and CG and made our way to WB's hse... and we spent a lot of time to configure and get into Zion.. and after 2 hrs, we r ready to play. First match was gd, but we lost.. 2nd is fantastic, we won !! Heee. got top kill for me in this match. 3rd one we lost but we still held our head high.. haha, cos we lost due to one uncooperative team mate. And meanwhile, HK reached us, and we arranged for X-men 3 tonight thru MSN. Hmm, changed last min. Sorry Zuyao, didnt get to watch together. But u can catch it with Joyce. But was kind of rush before the show, even missed a bit of it cos we rushed back to Tamp to change the mouse from a serial head to an USB one(luckily can change..).

Abt this show, think it is a show with too many things left unexplained. A lot of abrupt introduction of characters, and a lot of twisting from original comic.. just to make the show end. Hmm, and the plot was rather short and rush. Onli abt 1 1/2 hrs! Sian.. but the gd thing is the gd C.G. Like all the C.G. in it. And the Bedok's Princess seems to cut off the last part of the movie after the credits.. but arnt v sure is it meant to be in this way.. Hmm, so overall, rather disappointed with this highly anticipated show. And i was having headache thru out the show.. cos played LAN for too long before that.. ARGHH............ Tml gonna go sch liao.. and finalli got to meet Mickeys and Donalds. Ok, hope we will have a lot of things to crap abt. since we long time no see..

Hmm, shld be sleeping soon. Though i am not tired.. been over the most tired period of the night. And i have upset my sleeping rountine now. Now is 530am, and i am still nt sleeping! Hmm, listening to musics.

Though today played bball for ard 3-4 hrs and afterwhich we have a swim at YJ's hse, i dun feel tired! Amazing! haha, and just completed that ALL STARS rating sheet for the Bball gang, and had sent out to Liang.. hmm, hope that the statistics will be up real soon on the Bball Blogsite.

Hmm, what shld i look forward to in June? Hmm, results, ICT (reservist), and mobilisation. And also EXAM. EXAm..EXam..Exam..exam..seems v far away, but it is VERY VERY near in fact!
For intersem la. So still can have regular slacking days =) isnt life great during hols?! Haha. Would love life like this for rest of my life wor.. No tuition, not much lessons ,no need to care abt money stuffs,no work problems, and no r/s problems. Wang De Fu..

But think for tml's till-now-dunno-what-activity-HanLip-has-in-plan-for-us activities, i shld sleep. sleep and forget abt the troubles..!! Good night!

Today

This morning is one of a kind experience getting to NTU. The Bus 179 actualli broke down at the last stop before NTU entrance and there is also an accident at the same stop(think the accident and the broke down bus r somehow linked). Thus, 2 lanes of roads r occupied. The road has onli 2 lanes. Meaning what? Meaning an absolute traffic jam there. And we all had to get down and had no choice but to walk to NTU. And i huffed and puffed to LT1A, along the way got lost in Hall 1..... and was super late for lesson.

And onli YuJing and Yangshan came for Astro today. But was quite fun during break, cos we were discussing abt Da Vinci's Code, which we had watched tog with Val and YJ's bf yesterday. It was a nice show in my opinion! And we endured thru the 1 and halfhr more lec before i went to meet ManTou for a 3 hrs badminton session! she won 2 match out of possibly 10 plus matches. Waited for the arrival of ZJ, Lena and JH. They came ultra late, but we were lucky that the slot after the last booked session isnt taken up till 15 mins into the time. Then went over to squash court where ZJ played most of the time cos she is the most "pro" of us all. Then went back with them.. so tired now. But i enjoyed the day full of work outs!

Uninteresting me? Interesting.....

Mantou said my blog is so boring.. and my Msn chat is also boring ... is it? Today had a quiz for Astronomy. Kind of tricky! Had a short but good badminton session with Man Tou, Wilson and Rachel today. Almost won Wilson and Rachael.. but lost in the end by 14 to 17. A good game, considering Wilson is wily.. and he is a sch badminton player before!

These days didnt have the passion to blog online.. maybe shld leave more to the heart.

Ache

Had a very nice bball session this morning. More info can be found in our bball blogsite.
But due to the knockings and the lack of sleep, now i am suffering from bad neckache. Tml is going to be a little of studying for me.. tues got a test. And next week is the start of many activities. Hmm, planned to go watch DaVinci with Val and YJ. Hmm see how la.. not yet confirm. Then also will be having badminton on Thurs. Fri is outing with A04 if planning goes smoothly. Sat is bball as usual. Sunday maybe going for soccer with bro. Next next monday shld be going outing with Mickeys. Hmm.. all r not confirmed yet. So hmmm.. Need to be prepared for abrupt changes.

Whao.. recently addicted to a few songs. Keep having those tunes in mind.

Arsenal lost, and that is v saddening considering they r up 1-0 earlier on. But hope they can win it next year!

Now is with YS and YJ in lib wasting away our precious youths..

Plain fun vs crazy fun

hmm, this week is a rather fulfilling week, considering now is hols.

Finished the EID, finalli. And also Astronomy lesson started.. found it interesting! But i didnt pay attention during class.. haha.. keep chatting away or distracted.. And these days also had a few LAN sessions with the WC3 gang. Meanwhile, also did some sports. Had a badminton session a few days back with S21 people. Also had another short session with Zhijia and Lena in mid-week. Nice to meet them up in hols=)

On friday, had bball games with the bball gang, more details of the games and how JT got injured could be found on our official blogsite. after which went to WB's hse to play Zion with him. And HK came to WB's hse to look for us. And since WB is gg out, we went off to HK's hse. And there we got CG with us to go walk walk.. Tot it will be just jalan ard session.. but in the end turn out to be quite nice. Went to have my first try out at Carl's Junior. The BBQ chicken burger is nice! The portion is huge too. Not bad la.. though a little ex for fast food. Then we went ard to walk till quite late(11+pm). This is plain fun!

And sat woke up v early cos my Aunt wanted me to help her to move hse till the time i had sth on. And so i went to meet her at ard 845am.. and i slogged almost all the way till 1pm. And she actualli paid me for the work i had done. For a hefty 60 bucks! hmm.. but think i cant help her much though.. cos my backache will act up if i work for too long or carry too heavy things.

Then went to meet the ENE girls to sing KTV. All the rest of the guys we asked cant make it that day. And had a plain fun KTV session with them. Had many videos & pics taken in our hps.

And today asked CG to join my bro's gang for soccer. I was late.. and playing half way my shoes started " talking". No choice.. keep stripping the soles layer by layer till the whole shoe is left soleless.... -_- Then started to rain. No choice.. got drenched to skin and ended the game.
This is no fun..hahaha.

And later got tuition.. this is duty. got the $ .. must do my best. Lol.

Ok.. hope to have more grp outings!

To give or not

Hmm, let us talk abt this issue first. On my way home, met this woman who seemed to be from China, from the way she speaks.. and i walked passed her. But then she stopped me and politely and nicely spoke to me, saying that she needed some help, but if i couldnt help her, it is fine too. And she asked me for some money for a meal. And she was well dressed.. and i was puzzled..and rejected her before i turned away quickly. Then i realised that i was being very mean and selfish.. i mean.. my first reaction is that she cant be anybody good.. but then after i walked down the street, i realised that she might be real hungry .. maybe she realli dun have a job or wat.. and her politeness made me felt guilty. So if u were me, will u help her? Hmm, i have had similar encounters for quite a few times liao.. so maybe someone may be able to help=)

And and.. tmr LAST MIN cancelled the meeting.. and left me without any plan yet.

Arh.. lazy to blog on liao.. v humid..

Had a visit to Joi Chua's blog, and discovered a nice story there to share with all of u. Adopted this entirely from her blog..

Offering his guests coffee, the professor went to the kitchen and returned with a large pot of coffee and an assortment of cups – porcelain, plastic, glass, crystal, some plain looking, some expensive, some exquisite – telling them to help themselves to hot coffee.
When all the students had a cup of coffee in hand, the professor said: “If you noticed, all the nice looking expensive cups were takenup, leaving behind the plain and cheap ones. While it is but normal for you to want only the best for yourselves, that is the source ofyour problems and stress.
What all of you really wanted was coffee, not the cup, but you consciously went for the best cups and were eyeing each other’s cups.
Now if life is coffee, then the jobs, money and position in society are the cups. They are just tools to hold and contain Life, butthe quality of Life doesn’t change. Some times, by concentrating only on the cup, we fail to enjoy the coffee in it.”
So, don’t let the cups drive you… enjoy the coffee instead.

Oh, it is so true.. so truely reflective of many of our lives in this society. The appeal of 'beautiful cups' r blinding our search for quality life.. anyway, going for my last paper for this sem soon. All the best to me then =) !

Dreamt of something funny a few days ago. Dreamt that i picked up a rabbit. A small baby rabbit. And since it was abandoned, i decided to keep it and rear it. And i even dreamt of helping it to clean up and bathing it.. hmm, realised that i was like taking care of a human baby instead of the baby bunny, cos the baby rabbit can talk. I told it to call me papa in the dream .. ahaaaaz. But in the dream, i feel obliged to take care of it, it is the duty of a father. I tot i was the father of the rabbit... zzzz.. when i woke up, felt kind of sad though.. cos was quite happy being with that half human half bunny. Silly me..

oh ya. read a blog just now. the author wasnt someone i know, but she mentioned in an entry made in 2003.. that we can choose how we react to life everyday, though we cant control the happenings. Thought thru it.. though it seems difficult to react positively to everything everyday.. but wasnt that the only way to live a life which we all yearn to? A happy one. And perhaps can link this to an incident which happened today. Went to airport today, and was in Terminal 2 looking thru some notes, there was this cleaner who came up to me a few times and looked at what i was reading.. and at the 3rd time, i looked up to him and he started chatting with me on and off.. and got to knew that he ( 70 year-old man) was once an undergrad in Taiwan.. but he couldnt get to complete his degree course, because of some political unrest which forbidded him from going back to Taiwan after 3 years of studying there when he got back to his hometown in Indonesia during a break. And i asked him, isnt that a pity? He replied that there wasn't any choice then. But perhaps he chose to face it with a positive mind then. To get a bright future ruined due to political unrest is what we present batch of singaporeans may not relate to.. our environment doesnt present us with such uncertainties, which is good of cos.. but imagine, all the yrs of high hopes and hardwork r shattered by external factors.. very helpless right? Hmm... ya.. helpless.. i cant keep my weight down.. feeling helpless on this issue too. Perhaps not that helpless la.. i can control la.. not not now.. still got papers. Must cut down some weight before ICT, else will be jialat..
