whao.. a long while didnt blog..was too lazy ah... and didnt even complete last entry sia..
as promised.. will update a bit of the past days. generally, work is the main part of my life. and had been meeting frens on weekends or after work(rarely la...) hmm, and getting used to slacking life now. ah.. every night is dota and msn.. rarely go out that much le.. i am such a boring person now.. monotonous life. hmmm.. ok la.. tt's it. v v v v v sian..

sat & sun

sat-- morning went wif uncle tong and alex to far east square to familiarise with the cameras we r gg to use next time. Then we also sat down at a small toast shop to chit chat a bit before dismissal. Then went to meet huiyu, litian, soon lee and his sis. feasting time! ate at pastamania. then went to haagen daz for ice cream.. the combi we loved most is the macadenia flavour, Brandied raspberry and midnight chocolate. and we ordered twice of it.. with different toppings. also ordered an all fruits waffle ice cream dessert. that one is so so onli. and have to thank hy cos she used her voucher to treat us to that.then went over to a famous hawker centre at outrum, where we ordered carrot cakes, hokkien mee, stingray and the medium claypot rice.
then stayed there till 10 plus before walking all the way to tiong bahru mrt to chat.

ahh... complaints!

Ok, i shall make my complaints known along the way.. first, i was again late today.. but still quite early.. but later then Uncle tong.. die ah.. cannot like that for prolonged period.. sure kanna aim.. then morning started doing some mindless works like binding and chopping stamps.. and that lasted till lunch hr. so the 3 site interns went to stadium cafe to eat... nina has a half day off! envy!

At the canteen/cafe:
Me: auntie ah.. what is this ah?
The cafe's auntie( CA): meat balls..
Me: What meat is the meat balls?
CA: Meat balls lor
Me: ya, i know this is meat ball, so is this made of pork or chicken?
CA: This is meat balls..yah nice one, wan a not..
Me: (suspect she will say meat balls made of meat).. yah... nvm, i dun wan la..i wan this fish and that egg.. oh ya, auntie ah, got chicken or not huh?
CA: Orh... got.. meat balls lor..
Me: so the meat balls r made of chicken ah?
CA: Yah yah.. so this enuff? wan what gravy, ah boy?

And me paid and went back to my seat.. ready to attack the made-believed-chicken meat balls. and the first bite(tastes a bit like...) and a second bite (like a non-chicken porky ball!) and arghh! (sin man! i tasted fresh pork yet again!) and i gave away my meat balls... in disguise of being good-willed(as if! if u believe i am so fake.. think u dun know me well sia) ..

and yeah.. walked back to company and slack a bit before we continued what we had left off before lunch. after that, we realli slacked ard and chit chatted among the interns and perm staffs. A perm staff chris knew dan! how coincidental! they r classmates in sec sch.

and time passed fast as we munched on the remaining of nina's left behind tidbits. also went down with uncle tong to tour ard the place to look at the machines that r there.

finally 530pm.. and started to pack.. but the bad bad thing happened. rain started to pour.. and me and weihong had to make our way in the process of getting all wet to the mrt station!

And the late coming bus service and bad mannered commuters on bus on my way back after the mrt trip made my day sian.. Sucks..

whao. today passed v fast.. reached company at 840pm. was late, but still alright.. cos normally the company ppl turn up at ard 845am. Then morning was staying in office and there isnt much to do, except viewing thru some documents. Then at 1130am, we left company and went for an early lunch. uncle nicholas drove us (the 3 site interns), uncle tong and nina in his pick up to jalan besar hawker centre to eat. had a suddenly craving for fried oyster,since in the morning , we were talking abt food ard the east ard, and nina mentioned abt fried oyster at blk 85. thus, me and weihong ordered a small plate to share.. hmm the egg is well mixed with the starch.. but the oyster is too raw(according to alex who is v expertised in fishing and thus seafood.. he said that the oyster is nt fresh from the mere smell of it).

Then we left in search of chairs for the 3 new site interns. uncle nic is quite a fast driver.. hahaha.. too fast for my frail heart. and he 'hol lan-ed', so in the end taking us rd and rd ard joo chiat and geylang serai that area. In the end bought 2 foldable chairs, so that everyone can have a chair to sit in office.and went straight back to office to put the chairs and pick up our belongings.. weihong stayed in office to finish his task, while the rest of us went to china square and amoy street to do survey preparations and checks. uncle tong and alex took pics while me and nina went ard to check units. quite fun.. cos first time went to amoy street.. there's a lot of heritage remains there. And after which, we went to find a place to rest and discuss abt stuffs, before continuing and were dismissed early at raffles place mrt. bored.. dun feel like gg home, but couldnt get any fren out.. so had to make my way home. No wonder lena is saying that it is v bored to go home after IA job.. eh.. for my case, i agree la.

2nd day.. a rainy day

Today.. Went to kallang mrt and fr there walked all the way to company. finding my way though. almost late! but was still one of the earliest when i arrived there. Onli saw the vietnamnese intern who is earlier then me. Then basically work is not v tensed today.. Lunch ... went to beach rd to makan.. as it was raining, thus the 2 supervisors of other depts fetched us 3 interns and some other staffs to the eating place in their cars. Lol.. me and alex(one of the site intern) finally found a beauty in our company! And realised that alex knew erik as they were sec sch class mates... and the staff nina, knew yishan's fren, who happened to be in ntu ene yr 2.

also realised that i am the youngest intern in site dept. weihong (another intern) is 1981 baby, alex is 1982's, and i am the youngest! ^^ ..heeee
But i wasnt the youngest in site dept.. nina is 1986 baby.. and she is kind of my mentor at work. unbelievable sia.

So today we (uncle tong, weihong,nina and me) cabbed down to cecil street, while alex rode his bike there to explore the site prior to surveying there. But as the rain got v heavy, we were unable to move ard easily. but finalli work's done.. and we were dismissed from there. cool!

Bought another jeans from isetan today. cos work need jeans as the minimum dress code... hmmm.. but tat is nice colored jeans. like it sia. oh, a gd piece of news, the company is moving to eunos in feb, did i mention that yest?

And got back the review result for steel paper.. as what most of u would expect, the result remained.. sigh.. i ren ming la..=(

Nvm, Roar.. dota soon.. the battle will begin!!

First day at IA

Well, i am certainly getting v nervous and a bit scared (not excited) abt the IA the previous nite. Couldnt sleep immediately.

Woke up, read newspaper...and realised i was behind my intended time to leave hse..left at 810am instead of 745am. Before that had a wardrobe malfunction...i wore a pair of non-leather shoes with the office shirt and long black pants.. w/o belts, shirts tucked out.. wan to go off.. but my bro said i better not hit the street with such attire. then i realised i need to put on a belt, tuck in my shirt and get a pair of leather shoes! Super last min... and i dun own one pair... asked bro.. but he wanna use his pair to work.. his another pair is too big.. thus i woke pa up and asked him to find me one of his.. and used his working leather shoes instead..oh my.. last min.. clumsy .. and certainly rushy! Torn my bro's long sleeved shirt a little(1 cm small tear) when i rushed ard.. and was sweating damn profusely.. i doubt i would like to imagine myself in this type of situation anymore.

And i was pressed for time.. reached Novena at 850am. 10 more mins.. but i dun realli know how exactly shld i get to the office..(onli know it is beside novena sq) Thus, seek SOS from Zu, as his dear dear is working in my IA company's HQ at novena. And got there just on time! Phew... And saw Yvonne and another 2 civil guys in the meeting room. Surprised. Well, then the HR supervisor came to give a briefing before depatching us to our various company all over the island. Got to know new faces from NTU whom r working with me in the Kallang branch. And we eventually got to the office which is rather ulu.... and the staff that intro-ed us ard and get to see a lot of dept heads.. LOL.. i was posted to site department. Understand a bit of what we were gg to do... and went to a site with a staff,Nina. Then was dismissed from there. Whao.. super tiring though it was a short day.

Went to TM walk ard before heading to lib to read up mag and hope to find some photography books(in vain though) which i would need to read up for further IA tasks. Then head home with the tired body.. dragging along a heavy bag.

Tues, Wed, Thurs and Today

anyway, for eve, the bball gang also shoot a funny death note 2 pic! Damn funny.. LOL..it is posted in the Bball blog.

Tues: Went KTV with shunli and ppl. I had a bad throat day then.. cannot hit high notes. Argh.. not i always did, but that day i even went off pitch severely. Why?Dunno.. so i blame it on bad throat day. like gers do when they have their messy hair on bad hair days.
And went to a hawker in outram to have dinner. We tog ordered a huge bowl of claypot rice. and also ordered satays and stingray to share. And stayed back to chat till quite late.

Wed: Whao this is a weird day. Went for BBQ in late afternoon with Mickey-Sioux ppl. Everything went well. and even got the fire up at 5 plus.. but then the weather started to get bad... and rain started to pour even before we had the chance to do any bbq-ing. And we shifted into a sheltered place to hide from the rain. subsequently everyone came... but the rain didnt stop..and guess what? we started our bbq-ing at ard 9pm in the end.. and we did it in the shelter..using Al trays to hold charcoals and bbq in some kind of teppanyaki style. Weixiong takes credit for most of the food preparation but not forgetting brian and heng swee who helped out in planning and organising. We had nice foods and the amt slight exceed what we all can take, and so after the departure of linda and the couple(john+gina), we did it the trendy way of clearing food... by punishments from card playing and zhong ji mi ma. the card is a special cowhead card of brian's.
I remember brian and heng cleared most of the remaining pork rib, while me and weichun cleared most of the sweet potatoes. so full! and at ard 3am, we decided to go mac to sit ard and wait for dawn. played cards and chatted there. also used the comp to play games to kill time. Took 31 to bedok where all of us took mrt. I didnt go home... went for the IA talk at 10 am straight.

Thurs: Since i arrived there at 8 plus, decided to find an air con place to zzz. BUT, NTU suddenly seemed to be a place where air con rooms r rare. Couldnt find.. till ard 845 am then found one.. slept a while in the S4 seminar rm, before a girl came in and said she is holding a discussion there later.. so i had to find some place to sleep at ard 930..(still got half hr more ma)
The talk is a waste of time. Went there saw Cheng Wen, Laiyee+Huili , Sooneng and his gang.. also saw Heng Weisiong and brian they all.. we all were super tired.. can see. The talk made me doze off.
Then, Shunli sent me a msg asking me wan to go out with Huiyu n co. since i have nth to do.. i oblige la.. though i am lack of sleep and bath!!(Yucks) and also clean clothes. LOL. How unhygienic of me. Went to settle the reviewing of steel design form with Shunli. v fast. i tot will take a long while.. apparently the procedure is simple. Then went to meet Huiyu, Litian , ShuFang(ShunLi's sis) and Anshu before heading to marina square to meet up there with Liqing.
Ate at MOF. Aiyoh.. these gers were v v chatty bunch..the tired me and shunli just cant catch up what r they discussing abt. Then went to Anderson to have ice cream. Regrets... i ordered too much ice cream... in the end with the fondue that we ordered, I am v full. Decided to go catch a movie after that. Caught A Night In The Museum.Damn funny the show is! I am like laughing thru out... haha.. and i kept exclaiming :"so cute!" cos i think those miniature figurines r v funny and cute. haha, liked the Rome general and Cowboy.. think they r super funny. Also like the ex president of US.. think he is a v nice guy. Overall, it is a v highly recommended show. Cos the idea is original and humourous. And the setting is v nice. All just seemed like my fascinations getting alive too! A running T-rex, and living figurines.

Then after the show(Anshu left before the show) , Liqing left to teach tuition.. and so the 5 of us decided to have steamboat at Bugis.. since it is so cold due to the rainy weather. Hmmm... I was SOOOOO FULL after that.. feel like puking.. and i ate the least there! The rest r Da Wei Wang and Da Wei Hou(s). We ate a lot and the gers chat a lot.. i didnt say much since i am too tired after the BBQ. Haha.. nice nice steamboat.. but too bad.. it occurred after my ice cream feast.. so i couldnt take in much food.

Fri: Woke up and played dota till 6 pm before meeting A04 ppl(Zhijia, Huiyu, Anshu, Shunli, Alex, Junwen, Junzhao) at NewYorkNewYork. The food there that we ordered r quite ok, except that the appetitzers we ordered r quite small portion .. and isnt that fantastic. The people celebrated my bdae and huiyu's bdae thru a simple cake cutting ceremony. And there, 8 other tables were also celebrating bdae for their frens! So we can constantly hear Happy Birthday songs thruout the dinner! And huiyu even developed the pic taken on thurs into a calendar and gave to me anshu and shunli. She also made a v nice hand-made frame for anshu as a farewell gift, since she is gg overseas for 6 months for attachment. Then, we all decided to walk ard before gg to KFC in marina square where junwen wanted to eat his dinner. So we all sat down and chat with each other till 11 plus.

New Year, new experience

Had problems logging onto Blogger just now.

ok, 2007, new start forget abt 2006. Happy New Year everyone.

Let's talk abt how bball gang celebrate the new year eve ba... a last min decision to meet up, but nevertheless the attendance is fabulous.

The 9 of us(liang, liang's bro, Weibin, Cg, HK, yongjian, kes, matkool and me) supposedly meet up at 530.. in the end waited till ard 650 for everyone. And after much searching of restaurants..(soo packed! nowhere is w/o long Qs), decided to settle down at certain hong kong restuarant at Marina Square.

happily we settled there.. and came the ordering.. we all took v long to order.
And came the plates..they were nt clean! in sense got stains and dust..what the...
and came the food.. they were nt that realli nice and the portions were v v small.. simply OVERCHARGED for the food.. very overcharged. Not worth it. Hmm, the shrimp paste chicken of mine doesnt have much taste of shrimp.. portion was small.. and the price was $6.90, arghh.. that is too much.
And moments later, after kes finished his yuen yang, matkool took his cup and started scavenging the ice.. and suddenly he exclaimed there is sth in the cup. We tot is cockroach... ok la.. better than that la.. but STILL NOT ACCEPTABLE IN THE F&B LINE. hidden beneath the ice and under the opaque yuen yang, there is half a piece of receipt. the other half? dunno goes where... maybe dissolved into the drink and went into kes's stomach. yucks. we told the waitress, and she said that they will void this cup from the bill.. i am getting irritated by now.
And the bill we asked for came quite late too. I will nt visit it again..scared of the free receipt they had given us as a new year gift.

Then we went walked ard(HL joined us) and squeezing with the crowds.. Took a realli funny pic.. and also some grp pics. Head for home when the crowd started to get bigger. so sian with congested mrt station.


New Year day. Went to meet HL, Andy, CG, Weibin, Ben and Mark for LAN @ Katong. Split into 2 sessions. One before Andy came , another after Mark left and Andy came. The first session is v v fun! We had fun! The second session commenced after dinner. Was initially quite alright, but towards the end of the game, I couldnt stand Andy's way of celebration(as he is in opposite team) , I flared up. REAL BAD. Think all of them was stunned for words.. and i just walked off. I couldnt stand his way of celebration.. seems like didnt care what the opponents think. I even challanged him at some pt of time when i was building up before i exploded.. but he didnt get the hint. After which we went for a drink where we cleared up our misunderstandings. And as Andy and me took the same route back, on the way we cleared a lot of misunderstandings just now and also in the past. Different ppl have diff opinion, that is why friction occurs. He doesnt mean harm when he celebrates.. but maybe got too carried away.. ya.. my fault too.. shld trust that he isnt meaning bad when he celebrates. Argh.. good ending for all the bad stuffs.
We even chatted under a void deck till ard 1 am. LOL.. crazy sia. but not bad.. get to know him better.

Ok.. later gg KTV at chinatown with anshu, liqing , junzhao and shunli liao..LOL.. yeah!
