Othello

Hello guys and gals. Thinking of introducing u all to the game of othello, affectionately known to many as reversi. I believe many had played the game since they were young, and think nothing much of the game as it involves onli flippings and to"eat as much as possible". But however, it is not as simple as it seems. I remembered that in my army days, i once played with my platoon commander. And we sort of "bet" that if i win him, he will have to agree to let the platoon bring in hps.. and if i lose, we will forgo this priviledge. And i even said one seed that i win over him, will mean one hp to be allowed to be brought into the camp. and i even let him have a 20-seeds advantage. Hmm.. sort of daredevil rite? My platoon mates are all gathering beside the board waiting for the outcome. Come on lar, i am confident , therefore i will make such a "pact". Else if i lose , or not win enough seeds, they will "kill" me .. esp. those"ah-beng"style platoon mates. and becos i see the problem with most people, that they look-down and think that the game is very simple and that they can never lose much as long as they follow what they deemed as the logical way to win-- that is to "eat" as much seeds as possible--so i dared my PC.
But obviously , the game is not that simple after all, it involves much of calculation of probabilities, like most of the board games. But it is not as difficult to learn the rules as other games. Therefore, i will like to intro them to u all. If u already had slight passion for this game before i intro u to it, u can dl the programme called "Zebra" and have some games wif it. Definitely will improve ur game. But if u r curious abt the game and wan to learn more abt it, u can still dl Zebra and try it or go to any search engine to search for its related stuffs. Finally, when u r ready to battle, u can go to any online reversi sites to have some hands-on experience wif the gamers there.
